Welcome to My Vacations. I would like to share my Vacations with you so you can get
the lastest information on some of the destinations I've had the opportunity to explore this year.
Crystal Cruise-December 2005
My husband and I went on a Crystal cruise for our 20th wedding anniversary.
This is the second time we've sailed with Crystal. Both times we were on the
ship, Symphony. Last time we did a fall foilage cruise to New England and Canada.
This time we spent 8 days in the Caribbean. If you have never sailed on a Crystal ship
before you don't know what your missing! The service is beyond comprehension.
Crystal is considered a small luxury cruise line. Our ship only held about 900 people.
Because Crystal ships are smaller than can get into some ports that are less travelled
by your megaliners. Crystal cruise lines tends to be more formal in the attire area.
My husband rented a tuxedo and I wore several gowns to dinner. We enjoy getting
dressed up on vacation so for us this wasn't a deterant.
We went to St. Maarten, St.Thomas, and St. Barths. It was my first time to St. Barths.

Punta Cana
June 2007- I went to Punta Cana to see several hotels. I stayed at the Ocean Blue Resort. It was lovely. The palm tree lined beaches of Punta Cana are amazing and wide.
I visted the Paradisus Palma Real, the Majestic Colonial, the Iberostar properties and Excellence. I was able to see several wedding while I was there. Punta Cana has
something for everyone from adult only resorts to family friendly ones. I'd be happy to share my experiences with you.
Jamaica
December 2008-Negril, Jamaica- My husband and I set off to Couples Swept Away for our anniversary getaway. We were not disappointed. Negril boosts the famous
7 mile beach and sunsets that look they came off a postcard. Everyone gathered on the beach and at the sundowner bar to view this magnificent event. I can imagine how
wonderful the wedding pictures came out with those sunsets as a background. My husband and I visited Sunset at the Palms and the Riu Negril while we were there.
We took a hobie cat out to a little island and ate some freshly caught lobsters from the natives, grilled right there on the beach. Couples Swept Away has four restaurants,
a spa, watersports and nightly entertainment. We did a private dinner in the garden gazebo and it was truely romantic and magical. Even at the additional cost, I highly
recommend doing it. Couples also has "free" wedding packages!
May 2008, September 2008 and January 2009- Rivera Maya, Mexico
In May I went on a "fam" trip and saw over 20 hotels in the Riveria Maya. Just a few of the properties I saw were the Iberostar hotels, the Riu Palace, the Valentin, Dreams Tulum,
Dreams Cancun (you can swim with the dolphins right on the property), the Barcelo hotels and the Pallidium resorts. I visited Playa del Carmen for some shopping.
In September, my husband and I got to exerience the brand new "Secrets Maroma" resort and visited the other Secrets properties as well. The rooms are amazing, some
rooms have outdoor tubs on the balcony, jacuzzis for two in the room and the new "swim out" rooms. Room service 24 hours a day and lots of a la carte restaurants requiring
NO advance reservations. These resorts are adult only and perfect for a romantic getaway or destination wedding.
In January, my husband, son and myself heading to the Iberostar Maya resort. This resort shares the pool area with the Iberostar Lindo with a lazy river, wave pool and
large main pool with swim up pool bar under the waterfall. The activities were non stop, my son was playing volleyball for hours on end, doing pool games and challenging
his mom to many ping pong games (I won most of them). The hotel has a concierge who will set up your restaurant reservations and spa appointments. The spa is large
and the treatments were fantastic. I treated myself to a facial and a pedicure. My husband and son went for the massages. We utilized the hot and cold plunge pools, the
sauna, some impressive and relaxing showers and enjoyed freshly made veggie/fruit smoothies. The resort has a nightclub, a golf course and a teen disco plus lots of shopping.
In April I went on an overnight trip to Beaches, Turks & Caicos.
This resort is fabulous for families, with their Sesame characters, children's club, teen center, flo rider pool, lazy river, waterpark, Scratch DJ academy, Xbox center,
and activites programs. The beach and snorkeling are unbelievable! Dining options abound. This is by far my favorite destination to relax and enjoy the unspoiled beaches of
the Caribbean. I'll be taking my family vacation there next June.
In September I went on a Destination Wedding fam trip to the Karsima Resorts.
These resorts encompass for adults only the El Dorado Royale and Casita Suites, the El Dorado Maroma and the El Dorado Seaside suites. For families, the
Azul Beach and Azul Sensatori are fabulous. Every detail is thought out from the Fisher price toys, monitors, cribs and strollers at the Azul resorts to the
24 hour room service, outdoor showers, canopy king beds, swim out rooms and infinity pools at the El Dorado resorts. These resorts also offers FREE weddings.
